GOL is now the second largest Brazilian airline. It offers numerous destinations from and to the main Brazilian cities, but also to smaller cities. It is a low cost airline, but with serious services, serving the largest network in the country. With some connections, you can even go to the surrounding countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile...) and to Miami. From France, you can buy a 4 flight pass in Brazil for 532 US$ or 629 US$ in South America.

Metro. Metro line 2 connects the airport to downtown Salvador in 30 minutes for R$3.90. Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday until 2 p.m.

Bus and cab. Cooperative" cab fares are quite excessive. Negotiate with shared cabs for R$130. The bus is less convenient. Daytime. Departures every 20 minutes.

AEROPORTO DE FERNANDO DE NORONHA

The island of Fernando de Noronha is located 369 kilometers from Natal and 533 from Recife. It is sometimes possible to go there by boat (catamaran) but the travel time is long because there is no NGV between Recife or Natal and the archipelago. The most convenient way to get to Fernando de Noronha is by plane. Daily flights are provided by the companies Azul and GOL from the cities of Recife and Natal.
