The restaurant at Baasher Palace Hotel is a very good option. It offers a wide variety of rather western-style dishes, such as pizza or pasta, but also local dishes, such as…!

We have lunch or dinner on the patio or in one of the two dining rooms. Arugula salads, tomatoes with pesto, falafels are delicious. You can find chicken couscous, various fresh vegetables arranged, etc.. Fresh fruit juices, especially watermelon and guava juice, are a treat. But the must is the beauty of the place. The patios, fountains and bougainvillea in the garden are magnificent. The very attentive staff and the well-stocked meal will help you enjoy a wonderful evening.

Just two minutes from the landing stage, you'll appreciate this very pleasant terrace, where a welcome breeze blows in the hot weather. This restaurant, used to catering to groups, offers simple, tasty cuisine. The decor is very colorful, and the view is direct and plunging over the Nile. It's a perfect stop-off on the way back from a visit to the Valley of the Kings or Queens. Specialties include tajine cooking, for meat or delicious vegetables. Beef and eggplant tagines are particularly recommended.

We love this restaurant located in a palm grove dotted with Bedouin tents. Sadok El Bey, owner and man of the desert, welcomes you with majesty to make you discover his culture. Here you can taste a delicious 100% local and family cuisine, like the camel meat with gargoulette. A real journey of the senses in an idyllic setting that really invites you to marvel. Rich cultural animations take place regularly. In addition, everything is made of palm (no plastic here!). We warmly recommend it !

You have to pass through the owner's outdoor kitchen before you can take a seat in this little restaurant. Once inside, there's plenty of time to watch her at work, cutting and stirring all sorts of dishes. All grilled meats are served with soup, rice, salad and potato stew: a sure-fire way to fill up on the way out. A recommended address, especially if you want to wander around the restaurants frequented by the locals. The menu you receive will be without prices. Please ask before ordering.

Probably one of the best koshari in Luxor, this traditional Egyptian dish combines rice, pasta, lentils and chickpeas, all topped with fried onions. Restaurant with two starters. The first one on the main street is filled with flapjacks. To avoid them, take the second entrance, which is behind the Mummy Museum. The staff of this small restaurant is very nice and friendly. If the small space doesn't inspire you, you can always pick up your meal and enjoy it at your hotel.

In a garden planted with trees, the tables and benches scattered here and there are an invitation to sit down and enjoy a shakshouka or a plate of mezze, in perfect tranquility. All Egyptian specialties are on the menu. While most restaurants are located in the rooftops, this one stands out from the rest by taking its place on the first floor in the hotel's verdant garden. Another singularity is that you can eat mashed potatoes here, which is not very common!

On the roof of this hotel, you can eat while admiring the Nile and Luxor Temple in the distance. The menu offers a wide choice of European dishes such as salads, pasta and omelettes, but above all, Egyptian specialities, including stuffed duck and pigeon, which are a must to taste. These are two Egyptian specialties, which are cooked with a certain know-how. For those who do not wish to eat, this terrace is a good place to quench your thirst with a beer at the end of the day. Fresh juices are also served there.

One of the best restaurants for grilled meats and finely seasoned fish. A very nice place, very pleasant, clean, with very friendly staff, and a ventilation system that cools you down in hot weather. The welcome is warm and professional, which doesn't detract from the dreamy seaside setting. Wi-fi is easy to use, and the staff give very good advice on food. The restaurant does not sell alcoholic beverages, but it does provide the bucket with ice cubes plus glasses if you buy your drink outside.

Located at the Jaz Almaza Beach Resort, this restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine in a pleasant room with sea view. Meat, fish, pizzas, Egyptian specialties: it is certainly one of the best addresses for lunch or dinner in a friendly atmosphere. Freshness of the products, beautiful associations and more than generous portions. Special mention for the service which remains attentive without being oppressive. To know that Morgana is the name of a typical fish of this coast, you are at the right place to taste it!

In the center of town, albeit slightly off the main streets, Fish Paradise is a great place to enjoy fresh fish and other seafood. You choose your live fish when you arrive at the restaurant, and it will be cooked and accompanied by excellent fresh vegetables in just a few minutes. The dining room is a little cold and not really convivial, but the contents of the plate make us forget this point and we leave feeling satisfied!

Here, all dishes are prepared by Chef Abhay of Delhi in the purest Indian tradition. The kitchen is open, including a terracotta oven, you can see the master at the work, prepare and flavor plates. Real delights.

Preparations are more or less spicy, and sometimes even very spicy... The small dining room on the second floor offers a pleasant view of the corniche and the port. The team is particularly friendly. A good stopover in Alexandria!

The New Oum Hashim Restaurant may not look like much, but it comes highly recommended by Luxor locals. In this small downtown restaurant, you'll find a 100% Egyptian atmosphere in a simple yet clean setting. On the plate, you'll come to this address to feast on meat dishes: kebab, kofta and stuffed pigeon are all on the menu. The flavors on offer are worthy of the finest gourmet addresses, and the welcome is local and very friendly. We recommend it!

It's the ideal place to come for breakfast or a coffee break. Located directly on the promenade, overlooking Dahab Bay, the Bayside Eatery is a very pleasant café. Air-conditioned, decorated in light, natural tones, it even has a small terrace. On the plate, the food is particularly healthy and fresh (salads, pancakes, a variety of sandwiches, fresh vegetable smoothies, etc.) and the fruit juices are excellent. Vegetarian and even vegan options. A great address!

The Makani restaurant has a pleasant, airy room on the banks of the Nile, with a cheerful, colorful decor. The cuisine is simple and spicy, with the majority of traditional Egyptian dishes on offer. Here, beef and chicken come in all shapes and sizes, deliciously flavored with locally-grown spices. The owner, like his team, is friendly and concerned about the well-being of each and every one of his customers. Pleasant background music punctuates the evening.

Little maquis. On order, Tunisian and local specialities, count on a 3 500 FCFA menu, do not serve alcohol.

Named after the Italian patron saint of the blind, Santa Lucia is a downtown restaurant that has retained the charm, romantic atmosphere and quality cuisine of its golden age. The setting lends itself to refined dinners in a quiet, intimate setting: the perfect place to take your half, especially on evenings when the pianist plays a few notes of soft music. Osso-buco, Milanese escalope, delicious pasta recipes, Neapolitan specialities: the menu offers a beautiful interpretation of traditional Italian recipes.

Run by Aisha, it is the local canteen where young surfers who want to get away from the hostel for a meal meet in the evening. There are also a few locals, businessmen or expatriates on holiday. At lunchtime it's tagine or dish of the day, kebab or calamari... the only thing that doesn't change: only fresh products! An address that we recommend for its family and relaxed atmosphere, with an impeccable, smiling and courteous service, and dishes always carefully prepared and nicely presented.

An address to remember. Quality Kochery, very good koftas and shawarma, enough to make a quick meal at the right price. It costs 20 euros for half a chicken and a soup. The seafood is the real success of the restaurant. The shrimp dishes are very good. The seafood cream soup is fantastic. On the other hand, the squid dish with tomato sauce is not very good. The waiters are very friendly and smiling. The prices are higher compared to other restaurants, but it's worth it.

The place does not look like a mine, a few meters behind the souk, but in the plate: only homemade! Every Tuesday, fish pastilla, Wednesday rfissa with chicken and Friday couscous. There are many other delicious surprises on the menu such as ginger chicken with herbs or beef tagine with onions. The place is popular with locals who come to enjoy it at low prices, in a family and warm atmosphere. Probably the best value for money in the city. Excellent welcome from the bosses.

Located on Laâyoune's main avenue, Boulevard de la Mecque, the restaurant La Perla is one of the few addresses in the city to serve fresh and spicy cuisine. The dishes are mainly based on fish, caught in Laâyoune-Plage, a few kilometers from here. Strong of the passage of the Spanish colonization, the menu is also rich of some Iberian dishes as a generous paella for about ten euros. Finally, the traditional and unavoidable Moroccan dishes are also present: tajines, couscous.

The setting is original and pleasant, with small wrought iron boxes and shaped like a glass roof scattered on a terrace by the sea. The restaurant offers fresh fish and good Moroccan cuisine with salad, pastilla and couscous. A varied menu of course, but orders are not always honoured, which is a real pity... However, it remains the meeting place of the locals who appreciate it for its panoramic view and its good value for money. Peaceful terrace on the first floor. Also good pastries.

Very pleasant coffee located in the heart of the medina of Tozeur. Walid, the very friendly owner, welcomes you in a communicative good mood in his very nicely decorated café. On the walls, many traditional objects and decorative crafts (also on sale). In your glasses, a delicious tea or an excellent Turkish coffee, with its recipe based on cinnamon, cardamom, saffron and orange leaves. Moreover the building is superb and the view on the city is breathtaking from the terrace next to the café: a stop that we can only recommend!

Dar Yemma is the restaurant adjacent to Dar Ayed. Together with the guesthouse, they form a very complete center of tourist animation: here everything is thought to value the Amazigh Berber culture. You will find a tower with a panoramic view, a café area, a museum and a handicraft store and even a stage to host open air concerts! The restaurant offers an excellent Berber family cuisine, with 100% local products. Don't miss the Karabiz, the flagship Amazigh dish, made with fresh pasta, beans, lentils and chickpeas. A real treat!
