The osteria PepeNero, run by the two friends Marco and Antonio, is a delicious and quiet place, where all the dishes are taken care of and prepared on the spot with fresh products. Tagliata with arugula and parmesan, nettle gnocchetti with tomato and basil, spaghetti with seafood, tagliolini with the fish of the day... The menu, which is constantly evolving, favours the finest seasonal ingredients. It also offers several tasting menus, from three to five courses, to discover the flavours of the moment on the island of Elba.

A well placed restaurant, offering a beautiful, comfortable and shaded terrace, certainly on the side of the road (this is often the case in Rio Marina) but with a nice view of the port. The address is famous, it offers a varied, family, robust and quality guaranteed cuisine. We come here to buy the fresh fish of the day, at an honest price for the quality of the dishes. The dessert assortment closes the meal well for the sweet beaks. Classic but entirely homemade.

Family-run trattoria-pizzeria with a large original terrace, decorated with different tables (wooden, marble, terracotta...) and refreshed by a pleasant sea air. Simple, fresh cuisine at reasonable prices. The service is not constant, however. But the focaccia is unbeatable! The wood-fired pizzas are a great success. For dessert, a schiaccia briaca (typical cake from Elba), made by the mamma, isto try! Claudio Caffieri has been in charge of the Mambo for many years and is a well-known figure in Rio Marina.

This excellent restaurant is part of the Pilade Hotel, in operation since 1965. Open to all and frequented equally by locals, this place has everything to please. Beautiful terrace, typical Tuscan dishes, grills, home made olive oil and a very good wine list. The carnivores will be satiated, Elio and Angelo will prepare you succulent pieces of meat, grilled on a wood fire. Some even come from far away to appreciate the reputation of these two cooks, whose philosophy could be defined in two words: "carne diem"!

Small bar-restaurant, rather rustic, with a warm family atmosphere. The kind of place where you mingle with the locals. Da Cipolla is located in front of the main square of Rio nell'Elba. The traditional island dishes are highlighted (sburrita, stoccafisso alla riese, gurguglione...), as well as fish dishes. Take advantage of the pretty shaded terrace around an ancient fountain to relax. On some summer evenings, concerts are organised there.

The simple and cosy terrace, the relaxed atmosphere and the careful cooking make the success of this restaurant-pizzeria. Fresh and varied antipasti, dishes well in their plate, especially the tasty tagliata served with rocket and parmesan, as well as the fine and crispy pizzas. Desserts also work, such as the traditional schiaccia briaca. At the height of the season, the terrace is quickly taken over, so a piece of advice, better to reserve!

At the foot of Nisportino beach, north of Nisporto and west of Rio Marina, stands Luigi's delicious restaurant. Don't pay attention to the somewhat Spartan décor, the important thing is on your plates! La zuppetta di mare is fabulous, but you can also find pizzas baked over a wood fire. You dine while listening to the sound of the surf, on the beach, very popular with the French in the 1960s (so much so that fireworks were fired there on 14 July, recalls a former miner!).

Outside, a beautiful terrace overlooking the port of Portoferraio; inside, the tone is simple and there is an iodized counter filled with fresh fish and seafood of the day. Make way for the plate: a creative and gourmet cuisine, accompanied by striking wines from the region. The welcome is considerate, which doesn't spoil anything. Located a few meters from the ferry loading dock, this restaurant is ideal for a last meal on the island of Elba!

Portoferraio has only one beach, Le Ghiaie. There is Le Sirene, a privileged location. From its terrace you can admire the horizon where you can guess the island of Capraia and Corsica. At sunset, the colours are magnificent. The place is simple, unpretentious in its decoration because the charm is its natural setting. From the excellent pizza to the traditional menu, the choice is varied but its speciality, of course, is fish. In the evening, the small walk along the lively beach contributes to the charm of the place. A good place to stop.

Small characteristic restaurant, located a stone's throw from the pedestrian streets and the Croisette. The atmosphere is warm and keeps the charm of the traditional osteria. In the summertime, it is a great place to dine on the terrace and in the garden A refined "slow food" cuisine, where the aromas of the raw materials bring out the best in the dishes on offer. The menu is mainly based on fish and seafood, with an important selection of oysters, one of the strong points of this address. All this is accompanied by the best wines from the Elbe and Italy.

Fish and seafood are the mainstay here: gnocchi with clams, octopus in sauce, spaghetti allo scoglio, octopus salad... But those who prefer good wood-fired pizzas will not be outdone. The service is prompt, friendly and attentive, and the wine list is excellent. This establishment is a great success, it is better to arrive early or to reserve a place on the terrace.

Warmly recommended by locals, this small hostel in the old centre of Porto Azzurro is famous for its fresh fish. It's not cheap, but the prices remain honest and the quality of the cuisine is impeccable. The shaded and flowered terrace is a real treat for you, as are the owners, who speak French! Simple and typical, the menu highlights good local products, served with imagination. Nice choice of wines as the ultimate argument!

Slightly off-center, this restaurant located at the end of the Croisette enjoys one of the most beautiful positions on the island. Imagine a terrace, on the edge of a small white pebble beach, a few meters from the turquoise waters where the lapping of the waves contributes to the romanticism. The quality of the cuisine is in perfect harmony with the place, faithful to the traditions of Elba, with the right innovation for well-balanced dishes with character. Daily fishing exclusively from the island, like most other food. Bread, pastry and ice cream are homemade!

Warm restaurant located in the charming little square of Capoliveri, with a nice terrace to enjoy the pleasant summer evenings. The reception is friendly and the staff is professional and attentive. At Da Franco's, we like to be generous with our portions as well as with our quality. A complete menu which proposes the essential of the traditional recipes for fish and meat. The dishes are balanced and the raw materials are well used for a quality result. Do not hesitate to take the proposals out of the menu.
