The Belier (or Banier door) was built in the xiith century. It was the gateway between the feudal castle and the city. This old tower of guet served long as night asylum for travelers - until 1939 - but also in prison - until the Second World War. From 1819, the belfry housed the clock of the city dating back to 1436, now exposed to the museum of the Fours Banaux. The belfry is part of the guided tour "Medieval Vierzon" proposed by the tourist office in season.
