The Musée Napoléon invites you into the heart of imperial history. Owned by Baudoin de Witt, a descendant of the Bonaparte family, this family manor houses an impressive collection of over 500 objects, paintings and sculptures, as well as dioramas retracing Napoleonic battles with thousands of lead figurines. Guided tours, rich in anecdotes, enhance this unique experience. You can extend your immersion by staying in the estate's Gîtes de France, housed in the former wine storehouse and farmhouse.

Opening time and information on NAPOLEON MUSEUM
Closed from September 16 to March 31. Open for Heritage Days. Low season: open Thursdays, Sundays and public holidays from 3pm. High season: Sundays to Fridays and public holidays from 3pm to 5pm. Off-season: Thursday and Sunday at 3pm, and some public holidays. Reservations required. Free for children under 12. Adults: €9. Group (11 people): €7 (by appointment all year round). Guided tour. Store. Gîtes for rent from €280 per week for 5 to 12 people. Rates to be determined according to season.

Historical reminder:
Napoleon I and Napoleon III each had an only son, but both died young, without descendants.
These two branches extinguished, it is the line of the last brother of Napoleon I,Jerome King of Westphalia, which becomes the only dynastic branch.
Thus his grandson, Prince Victor-Napoleon Bonaparte, assembled and catalogued an exceptional collection of family objects tracing the history of the two empires.
At his death in 1926, a foundation between his two children gathered these objects.
arrival in Périgord:
In 1949, his daughter, Princess Marie-Clotilde, married to Count de Witt, settled in La Pommerie, in Périgord.
An important part of the collection was transmitted to the State in 1976 by Prince Napoleon and Countess de Witt. In 1998, Count Baudoin de Witt received the classification of more than 150 objects by the Caisse des Monuments Historiques.
In 1999, with his wife Isabelle, they decided to open their manor house of La Pommerie to the public in order to present in the intimate setting of their home, a collection that had been unknown until then.

The gîtes of La Pommere
Baudoin and Isabelle de Witt welcome you to their
4 gîtes in the magnificent and green Domaine de la Pommerie.
On the borders of the Dordogne and Vézère valleys, the Trouillet, the Poulailler, the Garenne and the Ferme de la Pommerie are located at the crossroads of three Périgords: the Black, the Purple and the White. This central position favors the visits of the main tourist sites (Sarlat, les Eyzies, the caves, the bastides etc...).
The Domaine de la Pommerie welcomes you in its 4 gites spread over a territory of 150 hectares within a protected nature.

The wearing of a mask and sanitary measures are mandatory during the visits.
The entrance fee is 8€ for adults, free for children under 12, and the group fee is 6€.
