The weekend of Pentecost was auspicious. It was under a bright sunshine that the 1,200 rowers from all over France took part in the French Senior Rowing Championship on 7 and 8 June. For this 21st edition, the public was on hand to applaud the winners.
Among the women's teams, CA Nantes distinguished itself on the podium in the women's eight. The Nogentaises de l'Encou won in four pairs. In the top four, it was the Grenoble women who won the race. Finally, in the TC pair event, the title of French senior champion goes to Élodie Ravera and Megane Besson.
On the men's side, the Verdun outfit won the French championship in eight games for the 13th time in 14 years. They can also congratulate themselves on now holding the record for the Val d'Auron basin in 5 min 36.72s. In the other categories, Mâcon won the race in four steered, the Versaillais won in two steered, Toulouse with the TUC, won the title of French champion in two double-handed races.
