Museum dedicated to Fernand Desmoulin, painter and engraver, located in the abbey grounds. Medium-sized works in graphite.
The Musée Fernand Desmoulin (1853-1914) spotlights this painter and engraver, known for his mediumistic work, which established him as a great spiritualist artist. From 1900 to 1902, three spirits are said to have guided his hand: L'Instituteur, Ton Vieux Maître and Astarté, giving rise to 93 drawings in graphite, produced during mysterious turntable sessions. The official portrait painter of the Third Republic, Desmoulin's work is as intriguing as it is fascinating. Group ticket with the abbey grotto, adding an extra dimension to the visit.
