Benedictine abbey with an abbey church, gallery and Romanesque bell tower of the 11th century, guided tour and night visit proposed.

Legend has it that Charlemagne founded this Benedictine abbey and entrusted it with the relics of Saint Sicaire, one of the Holy Innocents. The site unveils its abbey church, 11th-century Romanesque bell tower and monastic buildings, taking visitors on a cliff-hugging tour to the grotto of the Last Judgement, a troglodytic treasure trove of rock-sculpted bas-reliefs. The Saint Sicaire fountain, once renowned for its healing powers, completes this mysterious tour. Free game booklets for children, guided tours and evening visits.

Visite au rythme de chacun, au fil des panneaux et avec les explications complémentaires du livret...En partie troglodytique, c'est original et le village étant magnifque, on en profite aussi en sortant

Belle Abbaye dans un très beau site, heureusement il faisait très beau car ce village de Brantôme est magnifique, nous avons également fait la visite de la grotte . Agréable
