This castle gives its letters of nobility to one of the most beautiful villages in France, the medieval village of Apremont-sur-Allier

Although the château's interior is not open to the public, its exterior is a delight to behold. Built in the 12th century, Château d'Apremont-sur-Allier has had a rich history. In the 19th century, Gilles and Elvire de Brissac modernized the premises. Later abandoned, it was restored in the 20th century by Louise Hurstel and her husband, combining passion and respect for heritage. This architectural gem, surrounded by splendid gardens, bears witness to centuries of history and preservation.

Ne pas manquer d'y monter
Quelques échappées depuis le beau parc floral permettent de l'apercevoir mais il faut monter par un petit escalier face aux écuries. Ne se visite pas mais extérieur imposant.

Quand on vient à Apremont pour visiter le parc floral, il ne faut pas manquer de monter au château. On n'en voit que l'extérieur, mais cela permet d'imaginer à quel point il devait être imposant à l'origine avec ses quinze tours. De plus la vue sur la vallée de l'Allier, aux berges sauvages, est très belle.
