The Museum brings to life the extraordinary history of the great maritime trading companies of the 17th and 18th centuries. The Compagnie des Indes built and equipped ships that sailed to countries as yet unknown to Westerners, to build trading posts. Ship models, old maps, Chinese porcelain and Indian cotton fabrics all bear witness to this incredible maritime epic. Exhibitions, workshops and a bookshop are also on site.

Am rămas foarte impresionat de acest muzeu maritim militar, foarte multe lucruri care le-am văzut prima dată în viața mea. Bravo că au păstrat istoria neamului lor nu ezitați să vizitați acest loc!!

Très intéressant, on y découvre comment et pourquoi,les premiers secours en mer sont apparus. Des trouvailles archéologiques y sont exposées, dans un lieu qui mérite le détour.

Visité dans le cadre d'une classe découverte, l'accueil réservé au groupe d'enfants a été parfait. Visite et explications adaptées à la tranche d'âge.
