A natural phenomenon born in the last century, part of which can be seen and moved by the wind and tides in Étel.

Located in the extension of the large dune beaches of Plouhinec and Erdeven, the Étel bar is a natural phenomenon born in the last century which takes its name from an underwater sandbank formed by the currents that cross at the entrance of the Ria, at the meeting point of the tide and the river. At low tide, it is partially uncovered and moves with the wind and the tides, making navigation unlikely. In calm weather, the danger remains because the channel is narrow and shallow. On the other hand, there is no danger to explore the Ria from the port of Étel.

un joli site
Belle balade. On est passé en août et par temps calme, on n'a pas vraiment la notion de cette fameuse barre. Mais le paysage est malgré tout très beau, dunes de sable et océan à perte de vue

Pour y être aller en camping car , je peux que conseiller cet endroit .La barre d 'étel est magnifique . On peut se poser dans différents endroits. Pratique pour la pêche à la ligne et la pêche aux coques . Les plages sont belles et propres .

L'océan était calme en ce début juillet 2017, le soleil dardait que le vent rendait supportable. Nous y étions déjà venus en hiver, et il n'en est pas toujours ainsi. L'endroit du sémaphore était donc paradisiaque avec sa belle plage à marée basse où, plus on s'éloigne, plus le monde se fait rare, comme toujours, comme partout. Mais la barre est bien là et effraye car l'évoquer réveille des souvenirs bien moins agréables. C'est bien un endroit spectaculaire.

La Barre d’Etel . L’Embouchure .
Le plaisir de découvrir un lieu dunaire. Le point de vue prés du sémaphore est unique. L’océan à cet endroit est magnifique avec des courants impressionnants. Beaucoup de chemins côtiers qui permettent de prolonger la ballade jusqu’ Etel. Endroit de pêche où l’on peut taquiner le lieu ou le bar. Ne pas oublier l’appareil photos…
