Set your sights on the exotic, with this Asian grocery store and products from around the world based in Cesson and La Mézière. While Asian products are well represented, there's also an interesting selection of Anglo-Saxon, American, Creole, African and Indian specialties. The store's shelves are well-stocked with dried fruits, noodles, soups, teas, drinks, sauces, sweets, groceries... There's even an entire section devoted to world spices! Fruit and vegetables, frozen foods, bulk and organic produce are also available. A recent extension provides even more products for concocting ever more exotic recipes at home.

It will soon be 10 years since the Skumenn ("Écume" in Breton) craft brewery began supplying the people of Rennes with its aromatic, organic beers. What a journey it's been since childhood friends Thomas Cléraux and Stéphane Le Boucher were brewing in their garage! The Brewpub, with its direct view over the large vats of the production workshop, is a great place to come for an afterwork, to listen to a punk concert or Irish music. The atmosphere is warm and inviting: antique furniture, velvet banquettes, rugs on the floor with an indus' spirit that we love. And of course, we come to buy our favorite beers direct, packaged in bottles, cans or growlers.

After a stint in Switzerland and New York, Antoine Pelhâte has returned to his roots by taking over the Figueres bakery, a local institution. Completely revamped, it offers baguettes made with organic flour from the Bourseau flour mill and a multitude of varied breads made with natural leaven. For a snack, we can't resist a cookie with the NYC dough of the owner or a Vendée brioche. A bakery where homemade products and short circuits prevail.

Chez Cavarmen, you will find 120 m ² dedicated to the wealth of the locals from here and besides. At this address mix with the most beautiful raw rarest whiskies, the most refined olive oils, the most appreciated preserves: an ideal place for the directions and of course to give pleasure! Smoked, dug peat, fruity or even of Scotland, Ireland or the United States, Carvamen will be able to fill most fastidious with a range of approximately 100 whiskies of which some originalities of Japan, Brittany or India. Wines question, they are also bird's nesters of small lucky finds and raw small goods at price gift. The weekends local are also appreciated when a vine grower goes up to make us taste his wines at the cellar a whole Saturday of 10:00 to 19:30. One loves much this cellar who adores what it makes. For our beautiful evenings, one appreciates also the classes and tastings: because one wants all to know these beverages and our circuit of France sees red, white or rosy. A place which smells of the good dinners. Beautiful bottles for beautiful moments, for the lovers it will be a treat!

Amande is totally committed to ethical baking. The range of breads on display highlights recipes and know-how. Petit épeautre, tourte au seigle, pain complet au levain naturel, pain aux amandes et noisettes... are all organic, made with local raw materials. The seasonal pastries prepared by Kévin (who spent 10 years with Thierry Bouvier) are aesthetically pleasing and delicious, like the classic lemon tart, clementine pavlova or the house specialty: the chignon. Committed to waste reduction, the team offers its own wooden cutlery and transport mugs. Another boutique recently opened on Boulevard de Vitré.
