Set your sights on the exotic, with this Asian grocery store and products from around the world based in Cesson and La Mézière. While Asian products are well represented, there's also an interesting selection of Anglo-Saxon, American, Creole, African and Indian specialties. The store's shelves are well-stocked with dried fruits, noodles, soups, teas, drinks, sauces, sweets, groceries... There's even an entire section devoted to world spices! Fruit and vegetables, frozen foods, bulk and organic produce are also available. A recent extension provides even more products for concocting ever more exotic recipes at home.

It will soon be 10 years since the Skumenn ("Écume" in Breton) craft brewery began supplying the people of Rennes with its aromatic, organic beers. What a journey it's been since childhood friends Thomas Cléraux and Stéphane Le Boucher were brewing in their garage! The Brewpub, with its direct view over the large vats of the production workshop, is a great place to come for an afterwork, to listen to a punk concert or Irish music. The atmosphere is warm and inviting: antique furniture, velvet banquettes, rugs on the floor with an indus' spirit that we love. And of course, we come to buy our favorite beers direct, packaged in bottles, cans or growlers.

After a stint in Switzerland and New York, Antoine Pelhâte has returned to his roots by taking over the Figueres bakery, a local institution. Completely revamped, it offers baguettes made with organic flour from the Bourseau flour mill and a multitude of varied breads made with natural leaven. For a snack, we can't resist a cookie with the NYC dough of the owner or a Vendée brioche. A bakery where homemade products and short circuits prevail.
