MARTYRDOM OF SAINT-JEAN-TROLIMON
Located on the site of a Celtic oppidum in front of the Notre-Dame de Tronoën, this ordeal is the oldest in Brittany. Located near the chapel, in an austere setting, it dates from the early sixteenth century. On its rectangular bases, you can discover three crosses on which six characters are gathered. Two friezes equally surround the ordeal of John trolimon and represent the childhood and the Passion of Christ. These scenes are well described through a hundred characters. As for the south, the building is plagued by salt winds, while the north, less exposed to the weather, a Nativity is still visible: the Virgin lies naked on the bed, the sheets cover her up to the belt. At her feet, the child Jesus, grown enough for a new-born! The Magi, meanwhile, are dressed in the garb of the fifteenth century.
