A remarkable lighthouse inaugurated in 1897 in Penmarch, it offers a magnificent panorama over the Bay of Audierne.

The construction of this lighthouse is due to the Marquise de Blocqueville, daughter of Marshal Davout, Prince of Eckmühl. Inaugurated in 1897, its luminous range is 45 km. To reach the lantern and admire the interior in opaline and polished bronze, all you have to do is climb its 307 steps. At 65 metres above the ground, you will then enjoy a magnificent panorama of the Bay of Audierne. Did you know that Eckmühl has its world championship? Yes, the world championship of his ascent! The champions do it in less than a minute. Can you do better?

Closed from November 12 to March 31. April, May, June and September: daily from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm - July and August: until 7:30 pm. October 1 to November 11: daily, 2 pm to 6 pm. Closed to visitors on Saturday, August 20, 2022. Low season: open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (last visit at 6 p.m.). High season: daily from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm (last visit at 7 pm). Opening subject to weather conditions. Free for children under 7. Adults: €4. Children (aged 7 to 18): €2. No pets allowed.

L'endroit est très beau, une balade depuis ou vers le petit port de Kerity apporte une grande joie. Sur place quelques terrasses bienvenues et un air vivifiant. Avec de la chance, par beau temps, le coucher de soleil est magnifique

Endroit atypique et magnifique, point de vue panoramique sur une bonne partie du Finistère Sud ( pays bigouden - baie d'Audierne, Loctudy....) Le plus , une salle cosy ( banc, boiserie) pour se protéger du vent et faire une pause avant de redescendre les 290 marchés.

Un must. Gravir les marches tt simplement à son rythme et admirer le paysage en haut. Parfois un guide vous explique son histoire. Faire absolument juste à côté la visite du canot snsm
