France's leading sardine port, Penmarc'h is made up of four villages: Saint-Guénolé, Kérity, Tréoultré and Saint-Pierre. This is where sailors gather, whether they're disembarking from inshore fishing in the afternoon or offshore fishing in the evening. But Penmarc'h also boasts splendid wild landscapes. Penmarc'h boasts 12 km of coastline, including 7 km of beaches. Legend has it that it was on the tip of the peninsula that Tristan and Isolde died. Saint-Guénolé is the2nd largest port in the Bigouden region, and its computerized fish auction is the most modern in France! Markets are held on Wednesdays and Fridays.
