Briec de l'Odet is a small town located in the heart of Cornouaille, between Châteaulin and Quimper. A commune with a rural tradition, its proximity to the Brest-Nantes road has attracted a number of companies in the food industry and the service sector. The prosperity of the town and part of its inhabitants over the centuries has been helped by the development of livestock and in particular a particular breed of horses, the double bidets. The ashlar houses of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries bear witness to this today. With its eight chapels and its church, Briec also has an interesting religious heritage.
