The Saint-Uzece menhir is one of the largest in Trégor
80 tons, nearly 8 meters high (part of which is buried) and 2.6 meters wide: the menhir of Saint-Uzec is one of the most voluminous in the Trégor. Dating from the Neolithic period, this monument of local granite was christianized during the 17th century, which is why it is topped by a cross. Its name comes from Duzec, the monk who founded a monastery from Pleumeur-Bodou to the menhir. Three groups of sculptures are visible, evoking the Passion of Christ. The menhir faces the chapel of Saint-Uzec, on the other side of the valley. A must see.

The menhir measures 6 m (except floor), I measured it! Evidence of the Neolithic overlooking a valley, it was " christianisé" in the 17th century: sculptures and paintings (the latter completely disappeared) evoke the Passion of Christ (crucifixion).
