Set on the land of Rosanbo, one of the largest areas of Brittany at the time, it is one of the most spectacular castles in Brittany by its impressive architecture and its magnificent gardens created by Alfred Duchêne famous landscape of Vaux-le-Vicomte park. Its construction begins in the th century, so it is a fort castle near Saint-Michel-en-Strike to ban the lifting of the Bô River from the sea to hostile troops. It is undergoing successive changes and additions to the next centuries, Toits roofs and large windows, for example, to give it its current appearance.

Opening time and information on ROSANBO CASTLE

Closed from October 31st to April 2nd. Low season: open every day from 2pm to 6pm. High season: every day from 11.30am to 6.30pm. High season: July and August. Free for under 6-year-olds. Adult: €11 (park alone in free access: €7. Guided tour: €10). Child (from 6 to 15 years old): €8 (park alone in free access: €4). Group (15 people): €8 (park alone in free access: €5). Groups: by appointment of at the end of March at November 3 included. Text of the visit: English, German, Italian, Dutch.

Lamentable, nous sommes arrivés, porte fermée. Un panneau indiquant visite libre du parc et du château, devant la porte,une affiche indique qu'il faut attendre 1h30 avant que la visite commence.

Très joli château avec son histoire, a visité même si le prix est un peu élevé. Par contre visite du château obligatoire avec la guide, qui est une passionnée. Le parc est entrée libre

Le château est bien plus beau de l’extérieur… la visite de l’intérieur est très décevante. Peu de pièces, explications pas très intéressantes.
Dommage car ce lieu mériterait d’être plus dynamique…
