You can opt for a terrine of goose foie gras with Berawecka fruit, Lewerknepfles (liver dumplings) with shallots, beef with coarse salt and horseradish, or simply fall for a sauerkraut with 9 toppings, necessarily... royal! The traditional setting is cosy and restful, the service is pleasant and attentive. Add to this a high-flying wine list that is sure to please the discerning oenophile!

Tout est parfait sauf que ce n’est pas une winstub au sens où on l’entend habituellement ! S’attendrait-on à trouver un sommelier dans ce genre d’établissement ? Non évidemment ! Le bib Michelin induit aussi en erreur car l’addition est celle d’un restaurant raffiné avec un service sobre mais « haut de gamme ». Alors si vous avez la chance d’avoir un budget « large » et que vous appréciez encore la cuisine traditionnelle, n’hésitez pas car tout est parfait (tête de veau, bœuf gros sel et vin sont excellents et adaptés, ce dernier choisi par une sommelière aussi gracieuse que compétente). Mais côté addition ça pique car 2 verres de crémant + 2 entrées + 2 plats + 1 bouteille de riesling + 1 eau pétillante pour 160€ ….alors à bon entendeur salut : il n’y pas de miracle le raffinement a un prix, il faut le savoir ! Longue vie à ce Chambard car il perpétue la très belle tradition culinaire française pour peu que ses clients aient le porte monnaie bien garni ou du moins paré à toute éventualité.
