Right in the heart of the Riquewihr vineyards, the Bra'V microbrewery has been nestled since 1998. Here, classic beers such as Pale Ale, Amber Ale and Weizen blend with more daring and atypical offerings such as whisky- or wine-barrel-aged beers, smoked beers, crémant beers and the Black Page with its coffee and dark chocolate aromas. Descended from a long line of master coopers, wine brokers and then winegrowers, the Dopff family has a 13-generation tradition of expertise. Today, Étienne-Arnaud and his wife manage the estate, supported by their team of 50 enthusiasts. A visit (by appointment) to the Dopff museum, wine library and cellars will take you right to the heart of the legend of Alsace wines. Our favorite is the Riesling Grand Cru Schoenenbourg 2017, with its floral, fruity nose, 2 stars and a Coup de Coeur in the Guide Hachette des Vins. Cheers!

A great name in Alsatian viticulture, the Hugel family has been dedicated for generations to the promotion of Alsace wines. This estate of 30 ha, with a worldwide reputation, exported to more than 100 countries, is today managed by Jean-Frédéric and Marc-André, representing the ^13th generation. Tastings are possible in their typical and charming cellar. A favorite is the Gentil Hugel 2021, which combines the spice of gewurztraminer, the body of pinot gris and the subtlety of riesling with the fruitiness of muscat and the thirst-quenching side of sylvaner.

In a superbly renovated cellar, this maturing cellar is marked by a wooden sign showing a stork holding a cheese in its beak! Paved and vaulted, it is decorated with barrels dressed in cowhide, milk cans or venerable flail scales.
