Museum retracing the history and evolution of the medieval city, and offering a view of the roofs of the city and the plain
At 25 metres high, the Dolder is aptly named, since in Alsatian, dolder means "the highest point". Built in 1291, this emblematic Riquewihr tower was a defensive gateway, a watchtower and a belfry. Today, it houses a museum where you can learn about the fortified town from the 13th to 17th centuries (passive and active defense methods, tower occupants and their functions). On the4th floor of the building, you can admire the Alsace plain and the city's rooftops.

FR: Nous avons aimé visiter à la fois le musée Dolder et l'autre (Musée de la tour des voulers). Tous deux intéressants, avec des fiches guides également en italien. Nous avons pu explorer les deux librement. Si vous êtes à Riquewihr il y a deux choses intéressantes à visiter. Depuis la tour Dolder, vous pourrez profiter d'une belle vue sur le village.
