This castle is located in the heart of the Morvan, on a rocky peak overlooking the Cure.

Located in the heart of the Morvan, on a rocky peak overlooking the Cure river, it was in the 11th century that the castle of Chastellux began to emerge from the ground (the Saint-Jean tower was built in 1080). Over the centuries, this fortress has been constantly enlarged and restored, but it is the same family that has been in charge of this sumptuous castle since its origins. The Count of Chastellux, who shows his residence with passion, knows the place by heart. The park, designed by Le Nôtre, is also worth a visit. And the village too.

Visite que j'espérais depuis très longtemps!!! Moment très sympathique avec mes enfants ,la guide (Marie ) de façon très vivante nous a raconté l'histoire de ce château.. encore merci à elle ....et, à la fin nous avons eu la surprise de la présence du proprietaire......

En visitant ce très beau château, on prend conscience de l'influence historique de cette famille. Au fil des générations depuis des siècles et jusqu'à ce jour des efforts de conservation sont bien perçus.
