Charming vine and wine museum, a great place to discover the wine heritage of the Chablis region.

The winegrower Alexandre Gautherin, a collector, had the idea of devoting a 700m2 building on his estate to this particularly attractive museum of vines and wine. Here, you can discover the Chablis region's winegrowing heritage, history and traditions. On display are a grafting workshop, reconstructed soils and numerous winegrowers' tools. The tour ends with a tasting of Ermitage Ste-Vaubourg estate wines. Starting this summer, Vinéa Passion will also be offering a tourist train to discover Chablis.

Website advertised a train tour of Chablis June to September but it has already stopped when we arrived early September. They do allow camper stoppovers though, which is why they get an OK.
A better website is needed for tourist information.

Bonne visite en petit train, mais dommage qu'on ne passe pas devant les grands crus ... juste un passage pour nous montrer la montée de tonnerre qui est moins intéressant, aucun mot sur les 7 climats pas d'explications, c'était justement pour ça la visite de chablis, ça manquait au trajet

Musée que je recommande à Chablis. Un passionné Alexandre vous fait découvrir toutes ses collections viticoles. Plusieurs films illustrent le travail dans les vignes et permettent de bien comprendre la genèse des vignobles. Une belle dégustation termine cette visite.
