Museum of Celtic civilization presenting the history of Bibracte, the Gallic capital of the Aedui, accessible to PRM.
Below the archaeological site, the Museum of Celtic Civilization presents the history of Bibracte, the ephemeral capital of the Eduens, but oh so representative of the Gauls. Built in 1995 by architect Pierre-Louis Faloci (to whom a temporary exhibition will be dedicated in 2025), it blends perfectly into the landscape and geography of the site. The permanent exhibition portrays Bibracte in the light of the latest archaeological discoveries. Events and animations punctuate the life of the museum, where objects and computer-generated images abound.

Beaucoup de choses à voir.
Ensuite les vestiges de l'ancienne ville , très agréable de déambuler sur cette grande esplanade.
Point de vue magnifique sur la vallée.
The museum provides a wealth of additional information on the site itself and the wider European culture of the times, and showcases interesting artefacts from the site.
We didn't have time for a sit down lunch, but the adjoining restaurant ("Le chaudron") seems to provide an interesting Gaulish themed experience. Sandwiches and food to go are also available.
