The magnificent castle of Digoine, located in the heart of the Charolais, welcomes the public in a sublime setting.

An ^18th-century private property, Château de Digoine is classified as a Historic Monument and Remarkable Garden. It is surrounded by 35 hectares of parkland, including an immense rose garden and a magnificent greenhouse, with exotic plants and a refined salon. In addition to its well-preserved rooms, the château boasts a small ^19th-century private theater, where Jacques Offenbach and Sarah Bernhardt once played. Throughout the season, the château hosts a variety of events, including the Secrets d'histoire live show with Stéphane Bern, and the visit of star dancers.

Open April to October (daily 10 am to 7 pm in July and August). Free for children under 6. Adults: €13 (reduced €11). Children (aged 7 to 18): €6. Garden visit only €6 adult, €43 child. Credit cards not accepted.

Visite qui vaut le détour

Très bon moment passé ce soir lors de la nuit des musées. Très belle bâtisse et décors intérieur somptueux. Étant Creusotin et visitant les chateaux, je ne connaissais pas celui-ci et jai été agréablement surpris. Petit bémol le tarif de cette soirée 12€ était pour moi et mon petit groupe élèvé car pas de guides et a ce prix ça les vaut, de plus le jardin n'était pas allumé et interdit de prendre des photos à l'intérieur. Je reviendrai en tout cas visiter le château de jour.
