Gryllefjord is one of the island's largest settlements, located at the end of the main road, the 86, towards Finnsnes. At most, there are a few lodgings, a mini-market and a restaurant. From Gryllefjord, it's easy to reach Andenes on the north side of Andøya island by ferry 180, and thus to get closer to the Lofoten Islands. Just a few kilometers from Gryllefjord is the small village of Torsken, where you can visit the island's salmon factory. Between Gryllefjord and Torsken, a 5-kilometre hike (575D+) to the summit of Midtertinden offers panoramic views of the coast, neighbouring fjords and inland.
