EDDYSTONE POINT LIGHTHOUSE
A lighthouse rising to 42 meters above sea level at the northernmost point of Mount William National Park and Bay of Fires.
This 42-metre-high lighthouse dates back to 1889. It is located at the northernmost point of Mount William National Park and Bay of Fires. Its construction was decided in 1875, following the discovery of submerged rocks responsible for numerous shipwrecks. Eddystone Point was chosen for its accessibility and the maritime coverage it would provide. However, it was not until 14 years and many other disasters later that the lighthouse was built.
