Belle église avec ses nombreuses chapelles. Malheureusement un petit nettoyage serait nécessaire pour faire ressortir les peintures

Macon, to bardzo urokliwe miasteczko. Przyjemne uliczki zachęcają do spacerów. Warty zobaczenia jest też neoromański kościół z XIX wieku.

L'Église Saint-Pierre est la plus grande église de Mâcon qui se remarque de loin avec ses deux superbes clochers en forme de flèche. A l'intérieur on découvre des peintures colorées et des vitraux tout en finesse et un magnifique grand orgue. A noter l'église a été conçue d'après les plans de l'architecte Berthier qui a été l'élève de Viollet le Duc.

Really beautiful church, with enormous and overwhelming acoustics. Lovely little choir organ by Aristide C.-Coll, but it's quite sad to know that the Main Organ (by J. Dunand) is now unplayable, and (given the situation when this comment was posted), will probably have to be reconstructed...

Situé sur une belle et spacieuse place, face à la Mairie de Mâcon, l''église Saint-Pierre a été construite au XIXème siècle par l'architecte Berthier, élève de Viollet-le-Duc.
Cette église de style néo-roman est la plus grande de Mâcon, elle mesure 75 mètres de long, sur 30 mètres de large, et atteint 18 mètres à la clef de voûte.
Sa façade sud, présente une élévation sur trois niveaux avec trois portails en plein cintre rehaussé.
