Beautiful cave in Franconian Switzerland, with stalagmites and stalactites formed 50 m underground.
The Sophienhöhle is probably the most beautiful cave in the Franconian Switzerland. It is also the second largest (after the Teufelshöhle). Fifty metres below ground, you will discover a wonderful journey through three large rooms and a large quantity of limestone concretions, the opportunity to review the stalagmites, stalactites and the process that leads to their formation. If you are lucky, the guide will show you a small sound and light installation in the last cavity. It's like being in Indiana Jones!
