Steeped in history and ancient buildings, the wilayat of Manah is fast becoming one of the highlights of the Dakhiliyah region. The ancient village of Harat Al Bilad, which has been restored to its former glory over a period of several years, is now open to visitors, who can immerse themselves in the architecture and atmosphere of the cities of yesteryear - elaborate houses, alleyways, ramparts and more. Cafés, galleries and craft stores will soon be adding to the mix. Nearby, the Al-Fiyqin fort stands like an impressive vertical bastion (open to visitors). A recent addition is the fabulous Oman Across Ages Museum.
