The "stone of the eagle" is a very beautiful Pictish carved stone. It can be discovered on foot, from the train station (it is indicated) by taking the height in the city. Its present location is not its original one: once situated lower down the valley, it was placed there in 1411 to commemorate the victory of the Munros over the MacDonalds, unless it was against the MacKenzies.
