This forest reserve is exploited for its hardwood species. Thanks to a careful selection of trees, not all the animals have fled the area, and it's one of the best places in Sabah to observe wildlife. Hordes of Bornean elephants regularly roam the trails. Orangutans can also be spotted, as can the clouded leopard, which sometimes emerges from the woods after dark. Marbled cats, civets, hornbills, owls are also common encounters. Nearby is the Kun Kun site, an area for campers with a clear spring for bathing.
