It is a typical fishing village, located 75 km south of Cartagena, in the department of Sucre. It is since a few years the new spot for backpackers who want to go off the beaten track. But here everything goes very fast, so take advantage of it before the place becomes too touristy! Far from the crowd of Cartagena, on the edge of a quiet beach, you can sip a cold beer in your hammock, admiring a superb sunset. Apart from strolling along the 7 km long beach, lazing around, partying or playing soccer with the locals, Rincón is an easy access to the San Bernardo archipelago just across the street, and to observe the amazing spectacle of phosphorescent plankton at night.
