Panguí is located about 6 km from Nuqui, which can be reached in about 20 minutes by lancha. It is a typical Pacific village, with a welcoming Afro-Colombian population, beautiful rivers - the Sampichí, Panguí and Chicuí -, many waterfalls, a rocky coast and beautiful black sand beaches. There is very little tourism here, but an initiative was set up a few years ago, with a posada nativa (guest house) set up by a woman with an engaging personality, Ruth Nibeth Marinez Caizamo, alias "Chachita", who wants to help her village through responsible and community-based tourism projects.
