TÁIN WAY
Hiking trail on the Cooley peninsula, with quiet roads, forest tracks and mountain paths.
There are a number of walking trails on the Cooley Peninsula but the best known is the Táin Way. A 35km route (1,025m elevation gain) which is usually completed in two days, it is made up of quiet roads, forest tracks and mountain paths offering spectacular views. You may come across leprechauns... because in legendary tales, the region is known to be home to these little bearded goblins! Follow the signs for the loop: yellow arrow on a black background.
