Former factory with two large chimneys, a testimony to the Ceramic Valley in Ciry-le-Noble.
It is impossible not to see this old factory with its two large chimneys rising towards the sky. The brick factory, formerly the Vairet-Baudot factory, was built along the Canal du Centre in 1863. Thanks to the clay-rich soil, the region developed the manufacture of particularly strong bricks or paving stones, used in particular for the chemical industry. In operation until 1966, it is now a branch of the Ecomuseum Le Creusot-Montceau. Testimony of the Valley of ceramics, animations are proposed in summer.
