Documented since 993, Súria Castle originated from a fortified tower built to control the border area between the Christian and Muslim kingdoms in medieval times. In 1376, the Viscount of Cardona, who had taken over the reins of the royal jurisdiction of Súria, transformed the castle into its present Gothic form. Today, it houses an interesting interpretation centre that traces the history of the village. Inside, we will carefully observe the remains of the original Romanesque tower.
