Epéna is a village at the very end of a road that was once built by Brazilians. Tracks perpendicular to the main road run deep into the residential areas. Here, all manufactured goods come from Impfondo, and the food market is miniature. The coasters run back and forth several times a day between Impfondo and Epéna. The first departure is at 8 a.m., and the journey takes 2 hours. In Impfondo, the bus stop is next to the Tropicana hotel; in Epéna, it's opposite the market. You can also take a pirogue to Mboa, where you can take the road to Pokola, Ouesso or Bomassa.
