The Ngiri Triangle Nature Reserve, created in 2011, covers an area of 100,000 hectares. It is located at the confluence of the Ubangui and Congo rivers, in the south of the province. Home to numerous plant and animal species, the reserve's mission is to protect biodiversity and the ecosystem in the Ngiri triangle. The reserve is home to one of the country's last remaining groups of hippopotamuses, buffalo, elephants and primates. A community component involving local people has been set up to limit the impact on the area. Information ✆ +243 85 358 71 67.
