Located 130 km from Minsk, Salihorsk is the second largest city in the region. Its recent creation (in 1958) was due to the exploitation of a potassium salt deposit, which became a real symbol of the region. As a mining town, it now has a special attraction for curative tourism. When you go to Salihorsk, there are three things to do absolutely: see the salt heaps, descend in the caves, and visit the Salt Museum which tells the story of the discovery of the deposit and the work of the miners.
