Just a stone's throw from the houses, the visitor might be surprised to come face to face with a menhir worthy of Obelix. Of harmonious shape, the menhir of Broye or menhir of Charmeau measures 4,80 meters for an estimated weight of 18 tons. Discovered about 150 metres from its current location by a farmer who dug it out of his field in 1913, it still belongs to the family. By observing this megalith, the curious will discover engravings on one of the faces which represents a polished axe blade and a small stylized character.
