A small ski resort less famous than its neighbor Aspen, Breckenridge is a destination that, in summer and winter, is not lacking. A former mining town, Breckenridge would have been absent from all maps of the region until the 1850 s and thus forged the reputation of being one of Colorado's best kept secrets for a while. Breckenridge would also be one of the highest stations in the region and its snow is known to be one of the best in all areas. The city side, a pleasant small town surrounded by colorful buildings, a fine selection of restaurants, shops and small outdoor shopping malls in a relaxed and elegant atmosphere. It is also an important destination with many spa and massage lounges.
