On a few summer evenings, as night falls, the ancient Roman theater swarms with hundreds of volunteers for a grandiose re-enactment of the historic high points of the Gallo-Roman city of Augustodunum. A festival of special effects, fabulous sets, costumes and pyrotechnics to take you back in time, from the Middle Ages to the Roman Empire. This year, "Les Portes du temps" will be performed for the last time, before a new creation in 2025.

Beaux costumes, belle lumière, bon son, bonne musique, .... mais spectacle essentiellement narratif et donc inaudible pour des enfants, des touristes ou des étrangers. Un grand gâchis. On attend de l'action (les affiches laissent croire à la présence de romains ou de gaulois en arme, rien de tout cela), une seule action fugace, la course de char, heureusement ! Les loups ? aucun commentaire, aucune explication. était-ce des loups ? Merci au berger, à ses moutons et à son chien qui à eux seuls ont évités l'endormissement de 2000 personnes. Scénario à retravailler !

Unfortunately mayonnaise does not take! The filmmakers a little confused and text on a soundtrack is preregistered especially far too; and what makes the actors and observers during this time, they agitate arms in all senses history to furnish the scene.
While exaggerating a little, I had the impression to attend classes history scenarized more than a real sound and light.
Unfortunately, because you can watch some superb scenes such as a course of chariots or gladiatorial combats.
