HOOP MILL

Very nice mill built in 1866, it was in activity until 1968, when a reconversion into housing was narrowly prevented. The mill is sometimes activated by a volunteer miller. It is the counterpart of the other mill, named Aeolus. It underwent a complete restoration between 1981 and 1983. It is a grain mill owned by the municipality of Kapelle. It has two pairs of millstones and wheels of almost 22 meters long. We fell in love with the photogenic nature of this mill, the background, the harbor of the city, reinforces the beauty of the site.
