AMERICAN CEMETERY

The only American cemetery in the Netherlands, 8,301 American soldiers who fell during the liberation of Belgium and the Netherlands are buried there, on 26.5 hectares. The entrance to the cemetery is through the main courtyard with a pool that reflects the tower. To the right is the information center and to the left is a room (open) with walls covered with maps representing the various military operations. The names of 1,722 missing are on the walls. The chapel is also worth a visit with the chandelier and candelabra donated by the Dutch government.
