From Léon, it is possible to go to the Laguna del Tigris green, also called Laguna de Asosca, for a "nearly" refreshing swimming (water in the end is rather hot than fresh!) and a superb view of the surrounding volcanoes (including the volcano of El Hoyo). Count 1 h 30 round-trip from the intersection of El Enpalme. A small, fairly steep coastline leads to the mirador with a very nice panorama on the Laguna, but also the lake of Managua and the Momotombo volcano. For the descent leading to the lake, provide shoes at the sole that do not slide because the path is quite steep.
