Barmah is mainly known for its national park. This park is the largest red gum forest in Australia. You will be seduced by the local fauna and flora and you can even travel by canoe in the wet season. Free camping is permitted throughout the park. Campsites are equipped with toilets, picnic tables and barbecues. From Barmah to Wodonga, the main road (the famous Murray Valley Highway) runs along several vineyards and olive groves, so feel free to stop at various estates to discover them and why not even take the opportunity to shop for souvenir gifts
