THE HOLE OF THE CHERRY TREE

The Hole of the Cherry Tree is one of the best known areas of the Montsant Park: it is a green space where you will not find a single cherry tree but a single walnut tree and water, something rare in the middle of the arid Serra Major. The place, where there was once a cherry tree, was a good place for shepherds to water their flocks. From the Morera de Montsant, follow the Salfores or La Grallera path to Pilo dels Senyalets, and from there, go to the Pi del Cugat, from where a path descends to the Hole of the Cherry Tree.
