REMAINS OF THE CASTLE OF CATLLAR

Located on a hill overlooking the river Gaià, the first documents to mention the existence of this castle date back to the 11th century. However, archaeological excavations suggest that it was built by the Arabs, or even before their passage. What remains today of the building is the result of additions made between the 13th and 16th centuries around an original tower. The enclosure houses an interpretation center about the castles of the Gaià Valley.
